I love my bike!! My spin bike that is. I've been using it this week for HIIT and I'm loving it. I put my ipod on full blast and just go for it! So I did a half and half session this morning 10 mins intervals on spin bike and 10 mins treadmill sprints and then I did a "300" workout whereby you do 300 non-stop repetitions of whatever exercises you pick and by the end of it you feel like you're having a heart attack. I chose a mix of weighted squats, leg extensions, leg curls, pushups, shoulder press and dips. Endorphins galore afterwards!! The secret is that you have to have VERY loud music and preferably the type that spurs you on like "Push It" by Salt N Pepa and "Pump It" by Black Eyed Peas. I'm sure the neighbours were wondering what was going on but who cares? I had a great time! I dont know what it is but lately I cant be bothered going to the gym and just want to work out at home. Strange... but I'm sure I get sick of it soon and head back to gym workouts. After all, it is easier to just grab dumbbells or barbells of any weight rather than adjusting your own.
Anyway, food has been on track this week and I'm feeling better and firmer but no change on the scales just yet. I'll be patient.
Had a busy week of work and have 5 new clients from the studio but really its only three extra sessions because one of them is a group of three. Now let me tell you my dilemma with names. I'm not very good at remembering people's names. I know - not good in my line of work but I'm just hopeless at it. This week I've had to learn five new names and faces and I'm sure by next week I'll be struggling to match up the paperwork to the person. No, actually I'm alright with my work people. Its just people I run into sometimes such as other kids mothers at the creche. One lady introduced herself and by the end of the conversation I had already forgotten it and had to say "Sorry, what was your name again?" The next week the same lady stopped to talk and for the life of me I couldnt remember her name again. I was too embarrassed to ask a third time. I had the same problem with a lady at the gym. The first time we spoke we exchanged names and I see her every week now at Step class and she says "Hi Liz" and I just say "Hi" because again my stupid memory has decided to delete these important pieces of information. From now on I vow to enter people's names into my phone as soon as I meet them so that I never forget.
Nothing planned for this weekend apart from a bit of work, plenty of housework and a kids birthday party. Yes, my life is filled with a constant source of excitement and thrill-seeking activities!

Spin bike I am so jealous. I find that I try to remember a physical feature for the person. Liz with the long hair or Dave with the big ears. It works for me. :)

Hi Liz,
Just thought I'd pop in to say hello. Your workout sounds pretty hardcore!!!
I've just gone back to workouts in a gym after years of just working out at home - and I'm enjoying not having to adjust my weights at the moment! Think I do prefer home, just because it's easy to head to the back room and get stuck in.
I so know what you mean regarding names... I am atrocious. I am planning on starting up my PT business later this year and that was one thing that I was worried about - remembering names... I thought, perhaps I could take photos of everyone, and keep a record of photo & name in my phone.....
